Chapter 6: Sun Proves He is a Dumbass, Again

Sun hummed, looking worried. He took a bite of the cucumber he had in his hand, pacing in the living room of the housing he and his brother shared.

"What's got your frills so down?" Moon asked, sipping his almond milk as he watched his brother pace with his frills covering most of his face.

"The human hasn't shown her face for almost a week now. I am worried." Sun replied, running a hand over his head and brushing his fiery orange frills back. "I need to make sure she is ok." He said firmly, looking determined as he marched over to the door and opened it.

"Good luck," Moon called, and Sun nodded as he left.

Sun went to Cadence's living area but found she wasn't in at the moment, as there was a small light to the right of the door that was red, meaning her presence was not detected inside.

Sun decided to wander the halls for a bit, only seeing her after an hour. She looked a little pale, holding a tissue to her nose as her eyes were drooped. Sun gasped softly in surprise, rushing over before trying to act cool.

He cleared his throat, smiling at Cadence as she looked up. "Hello human, I had noticed that your ravishing presence hadn't left your room for a few days. Care to share why?" He asked, smiling.

She chuckled, sniffling softly as she replied, "Ah, just a little under the weather. Got a bit of a bug, but it will pass."

Sun blinked, processing her words before saying, "Oh! You are sick?"

She nodded, blinking slowly. "Yup. Must be flu or some shit. But it will pass."

Sun smiled, strutting closer as he said, "Ya know, I know a way to help with sickness."

She looked up from the floor, leaning against the wall as she said, "Oh yeah?" She quirked a brow, and Sun nodded eagerly.

"Yes, yes! Follow me!" He said cheerily, starting to walk. Cadence followed after.

He opened a door, and Cadence went into the dark room. "Where the fuck is this?" She asked, turning to him.

He turned on a light, and it was revealed to be a little storage closet. He smiled, a small click being heard through the room as his fangs became more prominent.

She quirked a brow, tilting her head and opening her mouth to ask a question, but was cut off as Sun grabbed her by the shoulders. He pulled her closer, his fangs dripping a bright pink liquid that dripped onto her shirt.

She screeched, punching him in the gut. He doubled over with a grunt, and she darted around him and made a beeline for the door.

"I'm just trying to help!" He called after her retreating form, but she didn't look back.

Some time later, he returned to his living area. Moon looked up from his tablet as he was reclined on his favorite blue recliner. He quirked a brow as Sun grabbed an ice pack and plopped onto the couch, putting it on his stomach.

"What did you do this time?" Moon asked, returning his gaze to his tablet.

"Cadence is sick, so I tried to help her, but she hit me when I brought my fangs close to her neck," Sun replied, closing his eyes and resting his head back.

Moon's eyes widened, and he looked up from his tablet to look at Sun intensely. "Sun, you fucking dumbass." He said, looking furious, "Do you fucking realize how she could file a complaint against you?! She could get you kicked off the council because, from her view, it was assault! She thought you would genuinely hurt her!"

Sun winced, frowning as he replied sheepishly, "But I wasn't going to-"

Moon cut him off, "She doesn't know that! You'll be lucky if you simply get a stern talking-to! She doesn't know how our biology works, you fucking dumbass!"

Moon looked furious, and Sun fiddled with his fingers, looking at the ground in shame.

"I-I forgot that not everyone knows how it works…" Sun said in a small voice, and Moon groaned loudly.

"Now I need to go and convince her not to report you!" Moon growled, turning and walking out, slamming the door behind him.
