Chapter 39: Cadence Lovebug Scene

Sun hummed merrily, skipping along the hallway as he approached Cadence's room. She had been gone for a few days doing a bounty, and she had come back just yesterday.

Sun was giddy, excited to see her again. He never tried to interact with her the day she came back, he knew she needed some time to relax and unwind after what he assumed was a stressful mission. After all, Eclipse would unwind by finding a partner and enjoying a night of debauchery.

He stopped in front of Cadence's door, knocking eagerly. He had been given access long ago, and he could just walk in as he pleased, but that would be incredibly rude.

The door creaked open very slightly, Cadence peeking through the crack as only her left eye was visible.

"He-hey Sun," She breathed out, "Um, I'm not... feeling too good today. Under the weather, ya know? I'll be fine soon..."

Sun perked up, his frills flaring out. She didn't smell like her regular healthy self. "Oh? Well, I can help you," He offered, stepping closer.

"I don't need help..." She said softly, avoiding his gaze.

"Cadence, what's wrong?" Sun asked worriedly, his hands clasping together anxiously.

"Nothing..." She said even softer.

Sun stepped closer, his left hand reaching out and grabbing the door, fingers wrapping around the edge as he started to open the door. Cadence merely stepped back, hands fidgeting nervously as she pursed her lips, head lowering as she remained silent.

Sun grabbed her by the biceps, looking at her worriedly. "Cadence?" He said softly, using his right hand to tilt her head up, seeing the tears collecting in her eyes, "Talk to me. What happened?"

"I can deal with it myself..." She said softly, "I don't need help..."

"With what, Cadence?" He asked, tightening his grip on her chin, repeating more firmly, "With what, Cadence?"

"I'm venomed..." She said softly, pointing at her shoulder.

Sun looked at her right shoulder, seeing the bite mark that had ripped her shirt, and he recognized the bite because Eclipse had that bite not too long ago.

"Cadence, why didn't you say something?" Sun asked, plucking a tooth casing out of her skin and examining it. She winced, frowning slightly as one was removed.

"I don't need help..." She repeated softly.

Sun picked her up by the waist, sitting on her bed while setting her on his lap. She slumped, looking ashamed as Sun examined the wound.

"Your shirt is really damaged around the bite," Sun remarked, "Can I remove it? It would be better if it was thrown away."

She simply nodded, and Sun helped her remove the shirt, revealing a black sports bra underneath that seemed to be having slight difficulty in housing all of her breasts. But Sun didn't have time to admire her, he was worried for her health right now.

There were holes in the wide strap of the sports bra, and he pursed his lips at seeing the straps barely holding on.

He leaned forward, his tongue snaking out of his mouth so that the tip could deftly wrap around the small casing and pull it out gently. He mixed a bit of orange venom with his saliva, which worked as a painkiller so that she wouldn't feel him removing the casings.

He crunched each one in his teeth before swallowing, eating every single one until there weren't any left. He gently licked each divot in her skin, sealing the slightly bleeding wounds.

She sighed in relief once every casing was removed, her hands fidgeting as she avoided his gaze. "Thank you..." She said softly, eyes brimming with tears.

"Hey, hey, don't cry," Sun cooed, pulling her closer as his right hand cupped her chin, tilting her head back so he could press a kiss to her forehead, "Don't worry, you're fine, you're safe. How about a nap, hm? You must be tired from working; a nice nap will set you straight."

He pulled her close to his chest, laying on his side as he spooned her.

"Don't cry, dear, don't cry," He said soothingly, stroking her hair as she relaxed in his hold, "There's nothing wrong with asking for help. You can always come to us for help, okay?"

She nodded, wiggling around to bury her face into his chest as she clung to him. They both fell asleep, Cadence relaxing in Sun's arms as he internally fretted over why she was crying and what bit her and why were there little crunchy brown things left in the bite mark.

Then he fretted externally when he woke up hours later and saw the damaged strap of her sports bra submitted to the damage and broke, dangerously close to exposing her breasts.

His rays flared out in panic, looking around the room to look for something to cover her, carefully untangling himself from her. Though now she wasn't as clingy, just laying on her belly on the bed. He got up, checking drawers. Underwear, bra, shorts, shirts!

He triumphantly pulled out a big black shirt, turning it around to see text that he couldn't understand. Human language was so weird, the kind she used was all curvy and with bent lines. Star Jester was clean straight lines, with barely any curved lines.

He went over to Cadence, gently lifting her ever so slightly, using a hand to keep the broken strap up. He eased the shirt onto her, having a bit of trouble fitting her hands through the holes but succeeding without waking her up.

He was all for ogling and admiring her, but when she was asleep? Without proper permission when she was awake in her right mind? No no no, that is a line he refuses to cross. He would never attempt to see her naked when she was asleep, that was not right.

She grumbled as she was moved, but relaxed when Sun aid back down next to her after getting the shirt on her.

He sighed in relief, relaxing. Crisis averted.

He snuggled up next to her, enjoying when she moved closer and clung to him, his face easy and content now that she was properly covered. He closed his eyes again, exhaling heavily as he relaxed, frills drooping and his faint glow ebbing as he went back to sleep.

Cadence would certainly be confused when she wakes up in her
