It took three days for Sun's venom to flush out of Cadence's system and for her to act slightly normal.
Sun and Moon walked to Cadence's room, Moon holding a small bouquet of chocolate flowers as Sun explained the plan in a hushed whisper.
"So, each kiss gets points, but some kisses get more points than others," Sun explained, hands moving to get his point across more, "Chaste pecks are only 1 point, longer kisses are 3 points," he then pointed at his lips, "Lip kisses are 5 points, with tongue it's 7, and then 8 to 10 points for kisses in certain areas, like the neck."
Sun imagined a sort of chart, and Moon nodded, able to know what Sun was thinking since they could sort of read each other's minds.
"That makes sense," Moon said, looking down at his little chocolate bouquet, "But we both know it all hinges on her agreeing to it."
Sun rolled his eyes as he replied, "Of course, duh. If she says no, we can just ask for the competition another time. But I doubt she'll say no." Sun lightly elbowed Moon's side, wiggling his eyebrows at his darker counterpart.
Moon sighed, shrugging as he looked down at the ground.
They reached Cadence's room, and Sun knocked cheerfully and rapidly.
After a moment, Cadence answered, wearing her usual black shirt and shorts as she brushed her hair. "Sup?" She greeted, jerking her head.
"We were wondering if-" Moon started to say, getting cut off as Sun jumped forward and got close to her face.
"We're having a competition to see who could kiss you more and would like your consent to kiss you as much as we want, anytime we want for the whole day!" He babbled excitedly, his blue eyes shining a brighter blue than usual in his excitement.
Her eyes widened, jaw dropping. "What?" She wheezed breathlessly.
"You don't have to agree!" Moon said quickly, shoving Sun out of the way and presenting the flower bouquet. Sun merely resumed standing next to Moon, looking so excited he could be hit by a train and be none the wiser.
She blinked as she saw the chocolate flowers, some candy bugs littering the hard candy stems.
"Huh?" She said confused, accepting the bouquet.
"You like food, and we had this competition in mind, and so... Since humans like receiving flowers and you like eating..." Moon said softly, putting his fingertips together in the UwU (or gay sign, depending on who you asked) as he shyly looked down at the ground.
She chuckled, leaning forward and pecking Moon on the lips. She winked as she said, "Thanks for the flowers, now you're in the lead, yeah?"
Sun and Moon both looked at her aghast, jaws dropped in shock. Then Sun puffed up happily, scooping up Cadence in his arms and spinning her around, dipping her before kissing her on the lips, holding her there for a second.
After a moment, he brought her back up, setting her on her feet.
"Now I'm in the lead!" Sun said happily, rays flaring out in pride.
So far, Moon had 5 points while Sun had 6.
She giggled, shaking her head as she said, "This gonna be a long day, ain't it?" She broke off part of a chocolate petal and ate it with a smile.
Over the course of the day, Sun and Moon would pepper her with kisses whenever they could, opting to stick near her so they could pepper her face in kisses. By the time lunch rolled around, Sun had over 500 points, while Moon was barely under 300.
It wasn't for lack of trying, per se, but Sun was quicker, and he had more time because Moon sometimes had to step away to do work.
Sun was happy he didn't have a job, as Moon provided for the both of them plus ultra.
Sun was in the cafeteria, happily eating a watermelon, opening his jaw wide to pop the watermelon inside. To a human, the watermelon would be large, but to him, it wasn't all that big. Granted, it wasn't all that small either, but Sun has fit bigger things in his mouth.
He chomped down on the watermelon, draining the liquid from it as he slowly compressed his jaw. His eyes widened, however, as he felt Moon's score rapidly rising. Sun hurriedly swallowed the watermelon, coughing a little as he hadn't chewed it enough, and he thumped his chest once before getting up.
What was Moon doing? How was he racking up points so quickly?
Sun quickly made his way to their room, Moon's score surpassing 650 as he reached the door and entered. Moon was sitting on the couch, with Cadence straddling his lap as his hands rested on her hips. Moon's eyes glowed a deep blue that swirled with a hint of white, and he drooled a little as he looked deep into Cadence's eyes, which were glowing the same color as he hypnotized her.
"Cheater!" Sun gasped in betrayal, and Moon startled, quickly setting Cadence beside him instead of on his lap.
"No!" Moon defended, rubbing his eyes as they went back to their bright red hue, "You didn't set any rules! You never said we couldn't use our abilities!"
Cadence blinked slowly, drooling a little herself as she looked dazed.
"All this attention is going to be the death of me..." She muttered, blinking rapidly.
Sun huffed, walking over and sitting on Moon's lap while setting Cadence on his own. "Well, no more hypnotizing. That was totally cheating and not fair at all because I can't do that," Sun said, sounding a little childish as he tipped Cadence's head up and kissed her on the lips.
Moon smirked, wrapping his arms around the two of them as he replied snarkily, "Maybe you should have thought about that beforehand, huh? No taksie-backsies!" Moon then started gently kissing Cadence's neck, both earning points at the same time, though Sun had no chance of winning now.
Sun huffed childishly, pushing Moon's head away and kissing her neck himself, peppering it with light kisses as his hands gently kneaded her hips.
"No fair," Sun complained between kisses, Moon opting to litter Cadence's right arm with kisses.
"Very fair," Moon retorted, smirking at his sunny counterpart.
Sun simply huffed, not deigning a response.
By the end of the day, Moon had won by over a hundred points, and Sun accepted defeat graciously.
When Sun and Moon settled down for the night, Sun laid on top of Moon, resting his head on his brother's chest.
"I still think it wasn't fair," Sun said, eyes closing slowly, "I propose we do another challenge-"
Sun was interrupted by Moon smacking Sun's head.
"No. I won, fair and square. Now you hold up your end of the bargain," Moon replied with a frown, smiling when Sun whined in complaint. The two brothers went to sleep, smiles on their faces.
