Sun skipped merrily through the halls, humming an upbeat tune as he snacked on a honeydew. Just biting the whole fruit like it was an apple. He licked his lips, his dextrous tongue cleaning off his sharp teeth.
His eyes alit on the cute little human he likes so much, and he stops cold as he sees her.
"Oh no! Are you sick?! Are you dying?! WIll this be the last time we ever see each other?!" He exclaimed, falling to his knees before latching his arms around her waist.
She startled, her now BLONDE hair bouncing when she jumped. "Holy shit, Sun, you startled me." She said, looking down at him as he let out a sad wail.
"You have so much to live for! How could the universe be so cruel?!" He wailed, burying his face in her belly.
"What? Bro, I'm not dying." She said, looking at him confused as he gently patted his head. Curiously, she felt the frills that adorned his head, which flopped like seaweed and felt kind of like gummy bears.
"But-but-but your hair. Y-y-your hair is changing colors, that means you are dying, isn't it? You are at the end of your days?" He sniffled, looking up at her with puppy dog eyes. His frills drooped as his arms tightened around her waist, and she looked at him bewildered.
"No? Like, bro, I just dyed my hair. How do neither you nor your brother know that humans can dye their hair?" She replied, and Sun blinked.
"What. You can.... You can just chxange the color of your hair like that? But, but why?" He asked.
She chuckled, patting the top of his head as she replied, "Because I want purple hair. And my natural coloring is brown. Humans can't have wacky coloring for hair, save for silver or maybe gold."
Sun blinked, narrowing his eyes in confusion. "Humans can't have colorful hair?" He asked.
"The natural colors are brown, black, blonde, red, and silver, if I remember right." She listed on her fingers.
"Not blue?" Sun asked, eyes wide.
She chuckled, shaking her head as she replied, "Not blue."
Sun's jaw dropped, and he stood up, letting go of her as he said, "I need to tell Moon! Bye!" He turned and ran off, waving.
She waved back with a smile, rolling her eyes.
Sun barged into the living room of his shared space with his brother, who was on his favorite recliner.
"Brother! I bring news! Humans change their hair color with chemicals! Blue is not a natural hair color!" Sun exclaimed, Moon putting his tablet down with wide eyes.
"It isn't???" Moon gasped.
"Our lives are a lie!" Sun exclaimed dramatically, flopping onto the couch as the back of his right hand was pressed to his forehead, and he closed his eyes.
"What else about humans are we wrong about?" Moon said softly, eyes wide as he questioned his life choices.
"Who knows!" Sun exclaimed, draped dramatically across the couch.
