The celestial twins entered the room, the solar one's blue eyes looking around the large room as the lunar one's red eyes stayed focused on the tablet he held.
"So, our seating was rearranged, and it seems there is a new person on the council." The lunar twin said, the bell on the end of his nightcap-like appendage jingling quietly as he looked at the solar twin, "I don't think you should go up to them, brother. It's a human."
The solar one looked at his brother as he chirped, "Human? What's so bad about that?"
They both sat down, and the lunar one looked at his yellow counterpart as he answered, "Because humans are deathly afraid of us Celestial Jesters."
"What? You can't be serious Moonie, who could be afraid of us?" The solar one chirped, and 'Moonie' leaned forward slightly in his seat to point behind the solar jester, who looked behind him.
There sat a human, a female around 30, fit and healthy with brown hair and hazel eyes, a plain adornment of a black T-shirt and black shorts adorning her form. She sat straight as a rod in her seat, eyes staring in front of her blankly as she had a look of suppressed terror on her face.
"Oh! Hello human!" The solar twin cooed, leaning closer to her as his fiery orange rays puffed out, his clawed hands relaxed on the table as he leaned close.
She whimpered quietly in her throat, leaning away from him as 'Moonie' pulled his brother back with a harsh tug.
"Sun. I just told you that humans are deathly afraid of our kind. Don't make her even more scared of us. And don't call me Moonie while we are here at the council, just stick with Moon." Moon whispered harshly, holding the fiery red neck ruffles of Sun as the solar jester whined pathetically.
"But, but, but she's so cute! Do you not see her little weak hands? Look how small they are! She's half our height!" Sun replied, motioning to the human's much smaller hands on the table, which caused her to fold her hands in her lap, where her hands weren't visible.
"We want to be on good relations with our fellow council members," Moon hissed as he tugged Sun's ruffles a little harder, "And antagonizing our human council member is not the way to do it. Admire her from afar, but don't talk to her."
"What? Why?" Sun whined pathetically, and Moon sighed irritably.
"Because humans are known to get violent when scared. And that human is female. You remember what we learned about human females?" Moon replied in a whisper.
Sun's rays drooped as he stared at the table, muttering in response, "That human females are more intelligent and calculating. They are less likely to lose their temper, meaning they can think with a cool head. They are dangerous."
Moon nodded as he said, "Exactly. Leave her alone, you don't want an angry human female to deal with." Sun smirked, giving his brother the side-eye as he replied quietly, "Maybe I do."
Moon smacked Sun's arm, causing the sunny jester to laugh as Moon sent him a death glare.
"I'm joking! I'm joking!" Sun laughed, chuckling as he added quietly, glancing at the human from the corner of his eye, "Maybe."
